Klai Kangwon Palace

This is built towards the north of Hua Hin. The palace consists of three Spanish style mansions facing the sea. It is open to the public daily from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.. Call (032) 511115 for more information. A permit must be obtained from the Royal Household Office prior to a visit.

Hua Hin

This is Thailand's oldest beach resort for the elite of Bangkok society. It is about 195kms. from Bangkok and about 85kms. north of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Hua Hin is noted for its long and white sandy beach, superb seafood restaurants and a wide range of accommodations.

Hua Hin Railway Station

This was built in the reign of King Rama VI, this is one of the Thailand's most beautiful train stations of which the local people are very proud.

Khao Takiap

This hill is only 4kms. south of Hua Hin. There is a road leading to the top where there is a temple located. The nearby Khao Takiap beach offer mostly bungalow accommodation. To get to this beach visitors can take a minibus from Hua Hin.

Khao Tao

This hill is located in the area of Amphoe Hua Hin. Between Km. 243-244 there is a one kilometer branch road on the left which leads to the spot. There are two beautiful beaches called Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai.

Ko Singto

Fishing lovers can enjoy a day's outing to this island, just a few kilometres from Hua Hin or Khao Takiap where some boats for hire are available.

Sea Pine Tree Garden

This garden is located eight kilometers from Hua Hin City. A left turn is made at Km. 240 for a distance of 500 meters. The original name of this garden was 'Pradiphat Garden Convalescence and Relaxation Area' and is taken care of by the Army Welfare Office. There are food shops and accommodations for the public. Nam Tok Pa La-u

This waterfall is located within a yearlong verdant forest where various kinds of birds and butterflies are found, especially in the morning. It is composed of 11 tiers of rocks, some of which can be reached along a trekking trail parallel to the stream. To get there visitors may take local transport from Hua Hin for a distance of 63kms.

Sam Roi Yod National Park

This park is located 63kms. south of Hua Hin. It occupies an area of 98sq. kms. with undulating ranges of limestone mountains, mangrove swamps and beaches. It is also home to various species and families of plants and trees as well as the home of wild animals. There are three caves worth visiting in the compound of the park; they are :

Tham Kaeo

This cave is located about 23 kilometers from Pran Buri township. This cave is very beautiful and full of stalactites and stalagmites and one can go very far so a flash light or lantern should be taken.

Tham Sai

This is located 9kms. north of the park office on the same route as Tham Kaeo, i.e., passing Ban Bang Pu, Ban Khao Daeng, and Ban Khung Tanoat where a Sai Cave is situated near by. To access the cave, one has to climb the hill for a period of 20-30 minutes.

Tham Phraya Nakhon

This cave is located near Ban Bang Pu. It is accessible by boat from Ban Bang Pu which takes only about 30 minutes. This is a large beautiful cave. There are a couple of natural ventilation holes on the roof of the cave thus allowing sun light to shin inside. The most popular attraction of the cave is Phra Thinang Khuha Kharuhat, a four-gabled roofing pavilion constructed during the reign of King Chulachomklako in the year 1890. With its beauty and distinctive identity the pavilion is now used as the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Hat Sam Phraya

This is located 3.5kms. north of the park office. This is a beautiful beach lined with pine trees.

Hat Laem Sala

This is located 16kms. north of park office. It can be reached by boat or walking across a hill from Bang Pu Village. Nearby is the "Tham Phraya Nakhon" cave.

Ao Prachuap

This bay is situated in the vicinity of Prachuap Khiri Khan township 90 kilometers from Hua Hin. Its beach is long and pleasant.

Hat Wanakon National Park

This park is 22 kilometers towards the south of Prachuap Khiri Khan township. It offers a seven kilometers long beach having sea pine trees along the sea shore throughout the length of the beach. Accommodation facilities can be reserved at the Faculty of Forest Affairs, Kasetsart University, Tel : 5790520.

Ao Manao

This beautiful curved bay is located five kilometers south of Prachuap Khiri Khan township area and it is taken care of by the Royal Thai Airforce. A permit shall be obtained from the Commander of the 53rd Squadron, Prachuap Khiri Khan prior to visit.

Wa Ko

This locality had had historical importance since the fourth reign period. King Rama IV made a trip to that locality to witness the full moon eclipse. It is 12 kilometers from the township (Km. 335). A long white sandy beach lined with pine trees offers a pleasant atmosphere.

Ao Mae Ramphung

This bay is sityated in the vicinity of Amphoe Bang Saphan,17 kilometers from the intersection accessing the Amphoe Office (Km.398).

Ao Bo Thonglang

This bay is located at Km. 4 beyond Ao Mae Ramphung in the vicinity of Amphoe Bang Saphan, 21 kilometers from the intersection accessing Bang Sapan Town. It is a pleasant place having a clean beach and is suitable for relaxing and swimming.

Ko Thalu, Ko Sang and Ko Sing

These three islands are suitable for fishing and can be reached within 20 minutes by boat from Ban Pak Khlong, 3kms. east of Bang Saphan.

Hua Hin Arts & Crafts Centre

This is located on Naepkhehat Road in Hua Hin. There is an old typical house, more than 80 years old. It has a collection and exhibition of many contemporary works of Thai artists, as well as old furniture and many pictures about Hua Hin in past.

Khao Chong Krachok

This hill is located in the north of Prachuap Khiri Khan. From the foot of the hill, up 395 steps, sits a much revered monastery. The stupa here contains the relic of Lord Buddha. The hill also offers a spectacular view of the town and the southern seacoast.

Khao Hin Thoen Stone Park

This is located to the west of the town. Among large stones placed by nature in the area, there are narrow walks leading to wide rocky fields on the mountain top overlooking the view of the city and the sea.

Namtok Huai National Park

This park covers the forested area on the Tanaosi Mountain Range. Namtok Huai Yang near the park office is its main attraction. The waterfall is composed of 5 small cascades situated among recreational surroundings.
